Step 3

PageUpload.Com: Web site uploading Guide!

Files Synchronization and Updating

First time File Synchronization.
So, your Profile is configured right and you are ready to start uploading your files to the server. At first time you should run Synchronization (set as default action for new Profiles). This process will analyze your local and remote files and make your local and remote folders identical. To run the Synchronization process select your Job and press Synch… button.

You can control synchronization process in the Log View window (see the picture). If you got any error messages please do the following:

  • Make sure your Internet connection is configured correctly.
  • Check out all Job parameters by clicking the Edit button. The most common mistake is incorrect login information at Host Settings panel or invalid Initial Remote Directory Path at Transfer Settings panel. See the Step 2 or program documentation for more details.
  • Connect to the Internet and try to start Job once more. Everything should work fine now!

Then Synchronization is done, your remote and local folders will be identical.

Site Updating.
So, now you've made some modifications in the local folder and want to make those changes visible from the Web. It's easy with Site Publisher! Just select your Job and press Update button - all your changes will be uploaded automatically without your interaction!

To optimize Site Publisher performance we recommend you:

  • Enable the Remote Directory Caching feature to speed up your work with remote directories.
  • Enable Safe Upload feature to transfer files safely and to prevent Access Denied problem.

If you have any questions about Site Publisher or if you need help with uploading your page please contact our support team support@pageuplaod.com.
